LONDON FASHION WEEK 2011: Street Style
Eithen was outside the British Fashion Council tent wearing this dapper suit he designed himself. Not just channelling Mad Men for the day, for Eithen this suited and booted look is a way of life, and the basis of his student days attending London's Savile Row Academy. I admired his fashion credentials and the subtle matching of his burgundy tie, shoes and umbrella handle, which set off the brown in the suit fabric. Attention to detail, here shown with the tie-pin and pocket handkerchief, adds to Eithen's look, which he ensures is not too fusty, choosing this season's narrow collar style. I asked him about his menswear inspirations:
What are you wearing, where is it from?
Own label suit ( Eithen Sweet Bespoke), Russell and Bromley shoes.
What was your favourite show at London Fashion Week, which one are you most looking forward to?
Issa London was amazing. Great soundtrack too. Looking forward to menswear day, Hardy Aimes and E-Tautz.
Where do you shop for clothes?
I wear most of my own stuff, mainly suits, but I do like a bit of Aquascutum, their shirts are nice.
What is your favourite designer?
Hardy Aimes ... and of course Tom Ford.
What are you doing at the moment? How is your menswear designing going?
Currently in the Savile Row Academy which is based in Maurice Sedwell, on Savile Row of course. Everything is going very well, London Fashion Week has just taken things (and me) to a whole new level, I've suddenly got even busier and I'm very excited for what's about to come....
